Event Plaza
In 2009, the Event Plaza was a novelty and if you thought it was vast and empty, come and have another look. We found out we could and so we put some more events and workshops there to give it that marketplace feeling. The 2011 Event Plaza will be even better than before, but for now, this is what you've missed if you didn't attend Anime 2010.
MangaKissa Library
At the back of the Plaza, up the stairs, we've had the MangaKissa Library where you can delve into their huge manga collection while enjoying a cup of green tea. Or you can sit there drawing your own manga. They have been open for 48 hours on end, including a very interesting night program!
Matsuri
During the daytime and evenings you could get a taste of a matsuri, a traditional Japanese festival. Trying your luck at Katanuki or Kingyo-sukui and janken (rock-paper-scissors) the traditional Japanese way.
Workshops
We've had a number of workshops running continuously for most of the day and evening, such as a Cosplay workshop, the Mangaschool and papercraft.
Japanese board games
We've had instructors to help you get going or just play a game of Go, Mahjong or Shogi (Japanese chess).
