Infoburst
Some people find it hard to grasp all the information provided on this website. For your convenience we have put together some of the most important stuff that you might need to know before going to Anime 2009, thus saving you the time to search through the site.
Opening hours
Officially we open Friday at 16.00 hrs. To enter on Friday you need to have a 'Whole Weekend' or a 'Friday Only' ticket, or you can try to buy these tickers at the door. The Opening Ceremony starts at 17.00 hrs. 'Friday Only' visitors need to leave the festival before 23.00 hrs at the same day.
On Saturday we open for Saturday Only visitors at 10.00 hrs. We expect it to be crowded at that time. So please be patient while waiting. We are doing the best we can. Saturday Only visitors need to leave the festival before 23.00 hrs at the same day.
The festival's Closing Ceremony starts on Sunday 14.00 hrs, after which the festival will wind down slowly with the video rooms ending between 15.00 and 16:30. It would really be appreciated if people would help clean up!

Tickets
'At-the-door' ticket pricing for Anime 2009 is as follows:
- Friday Only: € 25,-
- Saturday Only: € 40,-
- Whole Weekend: € 70,-
- Sunday Only: € 25,-
We will start selling the remaining tickets at the festival door from around 15.00 hrs on the starting day of Anime 2009 (Friday 01 May). From that time on it will be possible to buy day tickets as well. If we sell out, we will put that information on the websitel, but we do not expect this to happen as we would need to sell four times the number of tickets we sold at-the-door last year.
In case you lost your ticket: log in to the ticket booth, click on your order and click on the "Send E-Ticket" button and we will e-mail you a new e-ticket. If you do not have access to a printer, write down your 8-digit ticket number and be prepared for a slightly longer wait at the check-in. Alternatively bring your 5-digit order number and identification.
It is a time consuming task for us to check at the festival itself if someone did indeed pay or not. Last year we introduced a new method of handling these rare issues. If your ticket is not qualified as 'paid' on arrival at the festival, you will have to pay the full amount of an 'at-the-door' ticket. We will make copies of any proofs of payment you have and you can fill in a complaint form explaining that you have paid. We will check AFTER the festival if your money was indeed transferred. If this was the case, we will restitute the price of the 'at-the-door' ticket.

Important
Please make our job easier and read (and act according to) our housrules/huisregels. It actually helps to know these rules.
For questions not answered here, it might be in one of the FAQs, otherwise: read through the website or use the search feature.
As a last resort, you might want to try the forum, but we probably won't check it much the days before and during the festival.
Remember that, like always, there WILL be long waiting times to get into the Dealer Room. Especially when it opens on Saturday. Please follow instructions from Stewards and Security, they are meant for your safety!
And finally...
Remember, Anime 2009 is organized by a group of about 16 individuals (and a lot of help of other volunteers). We are not in it for the money. We are not getting paid for this. It takes a lot of effort to put together. So consider that if things go wrong. Please bear with us when it happens (and it will). Be nice to all the volunteers, without them Anime 2009 simply wouldn't be.
We hope you all will have a great time!
Kind regards,
the people behind Stichting Promotie Japanse Popcultuur and the Anime 2009 organizing staff.
