In 2007 I decided to spend my time on my Anime and Manga hobbies in a more social way and joined the crew to organize Anime 2008. After discussing options with Kaj and Niels they decided I was the perfect victim - ehh helper - for arranging the ticket sales, which is why I started building the current ticket booth. Grandiose plans came to naught as the real workload became apparent, but I was able to finish the booth early in Januari. Since then I have spent quite a lot of time improving the workings of the booth as some common usage patterns emerged. If there is a next year we'll have an even better ticket booth. As application building and design is my work it is nice to use my knowledge for the festival.

Apart from Manga I also read and see a lot of Science Fiction and have a large collection of Dutch comic books. In short, I'm addicted to new stories and Manga and Anime are the best way for me to get shots of the type of stories I like. This summer I'll go to Japan for the first time and I'm really looking forward to that. I just hope I'll have some time after the festival to pick up learning Japanese. At the moment I just don't have the time as sending everybody their tickets and organizing the parts of the festival I'm responsible for eats up too much time. At the festival I organize the Registration Desk and the Cloak- and Bag-Rooms. Most of the time goes into making sure your waiting periods are short.
