Hello dear visitor, below is a list of rules for the Stichting Promotie Japanse Popcultuur (J-POP) forum. Not following these simple rules will result in your account being banned and posts erased if necessary. Also read the AnimeCon Administrator's comment at the end of this page. Thank you.

Please do:

• Do register at the forum with a valid e-mail address to obtain your password.
• Do post your messages in English. While the J-POP crew is fluent in Dutch, some of our guests and/or visitors may not be.
• Do make sure that your messages are checked for spelling and grammatical errors.
• Do post your messages in the appropriate category and please stay on topic.
• Do format your reply as the posting directions dictate in the Request forums. This helps the crew to streamline requests and information.
• Do follow the directions of the forum crew.
• Do know who you’re talking to. A visitor may very well be someone important, or just your Average Joe. It doesn’t really matter, just be polite to others.

Please do NOT:

• Do not offer, encourage or link to illegal activities, such as (but not limited to) bootlegging and pirating.
• Do not use unnecessary vulgar language in your messages. Swearing and cursing will get you nowhere.
• Do not use hyperlinks in your message and/or signature (sig). We can’t check every link that’s posted for illegal content, so please save us some time and refrain from linking. If you really need to post a link, e-mail the appropriate forum mod and ask for permission.
• Do not try to cirumvent our rules by being 'smart' and post a deformed link that isn't technically a link but any person can interpret it as a link.
• Do not promote your commercial website on the forums. We have advertisement space for that. ;)
• Do not spam. Mentioning your website without us allowing the use of a link is pretty useless anyway.
• Do not bash other users (bashing: humiliating or hurting a person's feeling on purpose). It’s rude.

General information:

• All posts will be judged by a Moderator who has the right to edit or remove the content.
• J-POP crew are allowed to post links.
• A Moderator can ask a poster to correct or change a post.
• An Administrator is able to block or erase a user's account, user's posts can be erased as well.
• An 'un-banning' request can be made after one week, erased posts will not be restored.
• The forum software will log IP numbers. These will only be used in case of abuse.
• These rules can be changed by J-POP crew as they see fit.

IMPORTANT: This forum is not pre-moderated as our old Anime 2002 forum was, we decided that people should be able to live by a few simple rules and don't need a moderator to approve a post. However if users abuse the rules on a regular basis this forum will most likely be changed into a pre-moderated one or could even be closed. WE DO NOT TOLERATE POSTINGS RELATING TO ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES ON THIS FORUM! We rely on the industry to legally organize these events so we need to keep everything neat and tidy.
