We are happy to announce the new edition of our Japanese culture festival: Anime 2008!

The J-POP Foundation, in its current form, will be celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2008! The first real festival was Anime '99 in Rotterdam. We moved on to Anime 2000 in Veldhoven, where we stayed for three years. In 2003, we celebrated the fifth edition (Anime Strikes Back) in Haarlem, after which we moved to Almelo for 2004's festival.

Anime 2008 will be held Friday 02 through Sunday 04 May 2008, once again, in Theaterhotel Almelo, The Netherlands. This is the day after Ascension Day (Hemelvaartsdag), when most companies have an extra day off, and most schools will be closed for the May Holiday. We hope this slightly earlier date will take care of any difficulties regarding exams and the summer holiday season.

Regarding the hotel, we like to stress that it is absolutely useless to try and book a room at the hotel at this moment. Details on when and how will be announced later on.

Keep an eye on this website for more news about Anime 2008. We currently are working on a new website that will replace this one. Until that time, the information presented here can be outdated.
