Kendo, Iaido & Jodo

The Japanese sword arts are very much alive, not only in Japan but also in Europe. There’s a strong connection between the main organisation in Japan, the Zen Nihon Kendo Renmei, and the national kendo federations worldwide, so the way we practice is very close to that in the ‘cradle of budo’.

Kendo Kai Den Haag, arguably the oldest of the dojos within the Netherlands Kendo Renmei,  started with kendo in the 1960’s, following with iaido in the 70’s and jodo in the ’80’s. During Animecon 2016 we’d like to let the visitors see – and feel… – what these arts are like.
