The Anime 2014 Wacompetition

Show us your speed drawing skills!

So you think you can draw! But can you draw 21st century style? Or have your tried computer drawing but gotten nowhere? All excuses vanish on Wacom's on-screen Cintiq pen displays. You can try it out at Wacom's stand in the Dealer room, with the people from Wacom right there to help you and answer your questions. Not only will you be able to show us all your drawing skill's, but you can see your work displayed directly on the big screen during the convention and it is a competition so of course you can win!

As a contestant you have 10 minutes to draw a picture. Of course this is not enough to finish your drawing so you should also bring a completed drawing showing us your skill when you are not under time pressure. This picture can be any picture of your own, we'll only use it to be certain that you are able to make a completed drawing if you are one of the winners. In other words: you can loose with this picture, but you cannot win. You win by making the best picture in ten minutes.

Each day during the festival we will choose the best drawings of the day and the winners can choose from the prizes supplied by Wacom. The prize pool includes the Inkling pen that records you movements while you draw and tablets and pens from Wacom's Intuos Manga Edition and for those people that already have every Wacom product available, there is also the handmade ladies or men's bicycle from De Fietsfabriek to win. Of course if you cannot wait for the results, you can also buy the Wacom products with a convention discount.

Handmade bikes by 'De Fietsfabriek'.

After the convention we will take a second look at the 12 overall best pictures of the convention and ask the winners to complete their pictures. With the completed pictures we will create the Anime 2015 Calender, printed and distributed for free by Wacom and the J-POP Foundation, with our new convention graphic on the cover and with a different picture chosen for each month. The calendar winners will be announced on and will receive their own copy.
