Classic Convention room

Our first Anime festival was held in a previous century, the 20th century to be more precise. The very first anime conventions & festivals date back from a even more distant past, the early eighties.

How the times have changed.
The first Comiket was held in 1975 and saw 600 attendees, these days they just add three zeroes to that number. In the Classic Convention room we will show some things of the past. The primitive technology of VHS and LaserDisc, the large CRT screens that were used for what was then high definition. This exhibition will show you how things that we take for granted these days had very humble beginnings, far far before the Internet.

The Classic Convention room not only shows the history, but re-enacts it with a video program of it's own. As in the good old days we will not announce the video's and you'll just have to visit very frequently to see what is on show. With as the main question: will we have our own bunny girl anime or just re-use the one of the first Daicon convention, the one organized by the guys who then started the Gainax anime studio? That is: if we manage to complete the video program on time in the first place. }:-)
