Camera Japan @ AnimeCon

This year AnimeCon will combine forces with CAMERA JAPAN to create a much more powerful movie experience at our festival. Get a taste of the diverse aspects of Japanese cinema with CAMERA JAPAN @ AnimeCon.

AnimeCon is organised by the J-POP Foundation and our purpose is to promote Japanese popular culture in the widest sense of the word, anime being just one of those facets. CAMERA JAPAN is similar to us in that since 2006 they have been exploring Japanese culture with a focus on movies, predominantly on live action. We have cooperated on a limited scale before, but now we decided to significantly expand our collaboration with an extensive programme on Saturday evening where CAMERA JAPAN will present 4 films and a short film programme.

Camera Japan is a Japanese cultural festival based in Rotterdam. In contrast to AnimeCon their main focus is on film, but they also explore the visual arts, music, dance, fashion, architecture, food, and much more. The annual Camera Japan Festival is organised every autumn in several cities in the Netherlands. The 2017 Camera Japan Festival is scheduled for 21-24 September in Rotterdam and 29 September-1 October in Amsterdam.
