We are proud to announce the nominations for the
Dutch Manga Awards 2011, as selected by our jury members:
- Mara Joustra, acquiring editor with Oog & Blik / De Bezige Bij,
- Adri van Kooten, creator with Martin Lodewijk of of Quark - the only Dutch manga by a publishing company,
- Mike alias Popgrafix creater of Magical Farmgirl Marieke - our mascot.
The nominations in the Category Fan-comic are:
- Tillyke med fodseldagen from the book Happy Birthday by TamaGO!
- Untold Stories from the book Cheesecake Light volume 3 by Cheesecake
- Genesis from the book Cheesecake Light volume 3 by Cheesecake
The nominations in the Category Original Story are:
- Yamata from the book Legendary Dreams by Celestial
- The Bunny's Diary from the magazine Tea Tales magazine vol 5 by Tea Tales
- Coined 2 from the book After Eight 2 by Open Minded
- Dear Diary from the book Cheesecake Light volume 3 by Cheesecake
A very strong showing for Cheesecake indeed, but will they be able to cash in? Next Friday the jury will decide the winners and at 19:00 o'clock we will announce them during the Opening Ceremony.
