Game Localization

Japanese games don't just magically appear on European store shelves. They have to be translated first, but did you know that is but one part of its so-called the localisation process? A lot can change between the Japanese version and the version we play. Why do game publishers make the changes they make? Why are some games never released in English at all? These and other questions will be answered in the Game Localization lecture by Tamara van Staalduinen, editor-in-chief of AniWay Magazine and retired Queen of Tetris.
