Artist Alley Guest: Aimée de Jongh

 

Aimée de Jongh (1988) is a Dutch illustrator, animator and author of graphic novels. Though she studied Animation at the art school of Rotterdam, she decided to make a professional career in comics. Her most famous series is "Snippers", a comic about her daily life, which appeared daily in the newspaper Metro for five years. She has released two graphic novels: "The Return of the Honey Buzzard" (adapted to film in 2017) and her recent book "Blossoms in Autumn", scenario by Zidrou. Both books won international awards and have been translated in several languages worldwide. Through all of her drawings, her love for manga is still clearly visible. At the moment she is working on her new graphic novel, the largest one yet: "Days of Sand".
